Through a Facebook post, netizen Allan Ramos Siquioco shared the story of another alleged “tanim bala” (bullet planting) victim at NAIA terminal 3.
According to Allan, Elleisa Joy A. Siquioco fell prey to the notorious tanim bala syndicates at NAIA terminal 3 on November 30. Based on a video he uploaded on YouTube, a bullet was found inside one of Elleisa’s bags during a second inspection conducted in front of several witnesses. Elleisa insisted that she was innocent.
Allan posted photos of an Inquest Resolution from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a Release from Custody from the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group. Based on the documents, the R.A. 10591 or “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” case filed against Elleisa was dismissed because of lack of evidence.
Here’s a video of the actual inspection.
According to a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, an investigation conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a syndicate composed of various personnel is behind the modus operandi. About 30 cases of tanim bala incidents were reported this year.
In order to avoid being victimized by the “tanim bala” scheme, several passengers have opted to have their luggage wrapped.
