HIV carrier reportedly infects five men in QC

The blog entry of an alleged HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) carrier revealed that he allegedly infected several men in Quezon City with the deadly virus.

In a blog post titled Confessions of HIV carrier, a gay man under the name “Beware Quezon City” posted blurred photos of the five men with whom he apparently had sexual contact after discovering that he was HIV positive. He divulged that he met these men through the gay site Planet Romeo.

According to the alleged HIV carrier, he tested positive for HIV in 2014. Thinking that he didn’t deserve to have such a disease, he thought of getting revenge by seeking sexual partners on the gay site where he believes he met the partner who gave the virus to him. Since he was living in Quezon City at the time and is a “top” when it comes to sex, he opted to look for “aggressive bottom” partners living in the same area.

In order to spread the virus, he allegedly used condoms with holes in them.

However, it soon dawned on him that what he was doing was wrong. Although he stopped from doing it, he realized that he couldn’t take back the virus he inflicted upon his unsuspecting victims.

This prompted him to share their blurred pictures on his blog.

“Nais ko lamang ibahagi ang mga larawan ng mga ginamitan ko ng butas na condom, hindi para siraan o hiyain sila, kundi para magsilbing babala sa iba na hindi na makipag sex sa kanila dahil sigurado ako nahawahan ko na sila,” he wrote.

( I just want to share the photos of the men I had sexual encounters with where I used a broken condom. I am not doing this to embarrass them as I just want to warn others not to have sex with them since I am sure that I had infected them.)

Since the blog post, which has since been deleted, was created by a person hiding his real identity, it is difficult to prove whether his allegations are indeed true.
