Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Many couples prepare for this day and do everything they can to please their significant other. But before you plan your perfect date night, take a look at the results of a recent survey that just may affect your Valentine’s Day.
A survey conducted by RetailMeNot.com revealed that over 60% of men prefer to get sex on Valentine’s Day, while only about 30% of women want it.
This may be because of the fact that men want to spend less money than what is usually expected, according to Time.
A Chase Blueprint Valentine’s Survey proves this assumption to be true as couples revealed that they really want to spend less on Valentine’s Day. According to the same survey, 43% of men and half as many women do not wish to receive any gifts on Valentine’s Day, and 20% of all those surveyed don’t plan to spend anything on their partners.
Both Men and Women Want to Receive a Surprise on Valentine’s Day
70% of the 1,200 respondents of the Chase survey said that they want to receive a surprise on Valentine’s Day instead of choosing their own gift. Most of the respondents preferred chocolates instead of flowers, tech toys instead of jewelry, and to have dinner out instead of a home-cooked meal.
So before you make your final plans for the day of hearts, keep this survey in mind.
