An old man who was on his way to the market by himself was hit by a passing jeepney. This caused him to fall to the ground and hit his head, resulting in wounds on his scalp.
As he sat down on the pavement bleeding profusely, a dentistry student who happened to be nearby stepped in to help. Dentistry student Ace D. Cancino applied first aid on the old man’s wounds and stayed with him.
The man’s son, Facebook user Marvs Rojas, shared a photo of his dad with the dentistry student holding a piece of cloth on his injured head. Marvs expressed his gratitude for what the student did for his dad, especially because the old man was by himself when the accident happened.
Marvs said that he was in Pampanga at the time while his brother was at work; thus, they could not immediately get to the site of the accident. Marvs asked Facebook users to help him identify the student in the picture so he could meet her and personally express his gratitude for what she did for his dad.

After Marv’s post went viral, Ace happened to comment on the post, saying she was a dentistry student not a nurse as most people first thought. She also said she hoped that the old man was feeling a lot better.
It is great to know that there are still a lot of Good Samaritans who go out of their way to help others. Thanks, Ace!
