Believing that electricity rates in the Philippines can be decreased if solar power is harnessed, the 22-year old Pinoy behind Solar Philippines borrowed $1 million from the Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI) to install a 700-kilowatt solar rooftop power plant. His company has completed building the largest solar farm in Luzon, a $150-million, 63-megawatt project, in January this year.
