MANILA, Philippines. A video of a gay man physically abusing his mother has been making the rounds on social media.
In the video posted by a certain Datu Jhoar Mocsin, the gay man identified as Dheng Cheonn Alvarez can be seen hurting his mother in front of his friends. Their violent clash seemed to have started after Alvarez refused to hand over his mother’s mobile phone.
Alvarez, who apparently works at a salon in Metro Manila, violently reacted after his mother asked for her mobile phone. Although his friends tried to stop him, Alvarez can be seen repeatedly slapping, punching, kicking, and pulling on the hair of his mother. Alvarez’s helpless mother tried to fight back but was overpowered by the strength of her son.
“Wala akong pake kung nanay ko yan,” Alvarez said as his friends tried to stop him.
(I don’t care if she’s my mother.)
He was even heard cursing his mother in the video.
The video of the abuse, which earned the ire of netizens, quickly spread like wildfire on social media. According to a report by Pinoy Trending, several women’s rights activists are planning to file a case against Alvarez.
