MANILA, Philippines. PDP-Laban standard bearer Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has maintained his lead in the latest Pulse Asia survey for president conducted from April 5 to 10.
Despite receiving various criticisms particularly for his controversial statements, Duterte managed to get the approval of 32% of voters in the survey commissioned by ABS-CBN, a 2% increase from the last Pulse Asia survey carried out from March 29 to April 3.
Several anti-Duterte netizens have turned to social media to express their disapproval of Duterte’s candidacy. Among them is Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) president Archbishop Socrates Villegas, who shared a video of Duterte making a controversial remark on the rape and murder of Australian missionary Jacqueline Hamill.
Still, numerous supporters of the tough-talking mayor have actively defended their presidential bet from critics.
Through a Facebook post, a certain Dino De Leon has decided to raise issues hounding the presidential candidate through questions directed to his supporters. His Facebook post titled 16 “QUESTIONS TO DUTERTE SUPPORTERS” challenged supporters to give reasons why they prefer to vote for Duterte despite a number of allegations against him. De Leon included links of news articles discussing the issue in the question.

“I hope you reconsider. I really hope so, before it’s too late. While politics could be entertaining, our future is no entertainment,” De Leon wrote.
