Probably the only presidentiable respected by people from all religions (Christans and Muslims) and genders (even the LGBT). Duterte also has ties with the NPA (New People’s Army) and other leftist groups. He was once even called up by Joma Sison, exiled Communist leader, during a dinner with military officers in Davao City. During their conversation, Duterte asked Sison to abandon “armed struggle”.
