When a female resident of Tianjin, China booked a ride on car-hailing app Didi Chuxing, little did she know that she was in for the shock of her life. The driver, apparently, had shown up missing a few—yet vital—articles of clothing. Instead of wearing them, the driver had merely placed a pair of shorts on top of his crotch area to cover up his private parts.
The terrified passenger quickly asked to be let out and immediately reported the incident to Didi’s customer service. Below is a transcript of her complaint, as transcribed on the Shanghaiist website.
“I have a picture as proof, he’s not wearing any pants!”
“Could you provide a picture?”

“I discovered this when I got to Xiawafang, I got out as quickly as I could, oh my God, it scared me so much!”
“We’re very sorry you’ve had such a bad customer experience.”
After getting reported and served a ten-day detention, the driver even had the gall to send a text message to the female passenger, saying, “You really have some guts. Are you trying to make some trouble here?”
Reports failed to state why the driver couldn’t be bothered to put on the pair of shorts before heading off.
