7) Team RoRo. As the running mate of presidential bet Mar Roxas, the tandem is running under a platform of good governance. Their promise is for the Filipino people to have freedom from hunger, freedom from fear, and freedom to dream.
8) Zero Hunger. Aside from the Roxas – Robredo platform, Robredo espouses a commitment to zero hunger. She has been championing the National Food Security Bill, which would address poverty and hunger issues via a National Feeding Program, by procuring supplies from small-scale producers, and by offering support services to small-scale producers.
9) Shared Prosperity. Robredo’s next commitment is towards shared prosperity through inclusive growth — which entails “Keeping food prices low (PRESYO) through investments in Agriculture; Creating jobs (TRABAHO) through sound economic policy; Increasing incomes and productivity (KITA) by creating better economic conditions, promote primary, secondary, and tertiary education for children and teens; and skills training for working-age adults”—and strengthening rural infrastructure, to promote investments in rural areas.
10) Gender Equality. Robredo is also committed to gender equality. A champion of women’s rights, her work with SALIGAN has allowed Robredo to defend women and children who have suffered abuse. She is also pushing for setting up livelihood programs for women including business development training, access to low-cost loans, and determining the needs of the market and addressing these needs.
