MANILA, Philippines. TV host and comedian Arnell Ignacio has been appointed assistant vice president for the community relation and services department of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor).
A known supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, Ignacio confirmed his position with the government agency through a Facebook post on Friday, July 8.
In a separate Facebook post, Ignacio wrote: “Pagcor isn’t all about gaming. As the AVP of the Community Relation and Services Department of Pagcor we will be taking massively funded steps to improve health services, comprehensive feeding programs, completion of school buildings etc. No area will be too far from our helping hand.”
Pagcor operates its own casinos and several VIP slot clubs across the country and regulates privately-owned casinos, bingo parlors, and e-game cafes. Under the Office of the President of the Philippines, Pagcor is the second largest contributor of revenue to the government.
