Animal abuse is everywhere, and China is not an exception. The struggle of kind-hearted pet owners continues as animal cruelty rises.
A crying video of an old lady named Aunt Zhao circulated online.

What’s behind these tears
The woman was caught crying in front of her dead dogs, all of which have been poisoned. She frantically agonizes as she realized the hopelessness of the case.
For many years, Aunt Zhao has been adopting and taking care of stray dogs on their block. But one day she woke up, all of her dogs have been poisoned by a nearby school, Harbin Sport University.
The university had allegedly sent security guards into Aunt Zhao’s shed to poison all her dogs, not excluding her puppies. The reason for this heinous killing is that the university will be holding its anniversary soon.
No word can ever describe the mental torture Aunt Zhao is experiencing after her dogs died in vain. After she took the time, money, and effort to give these innocent dogs a shelter, one establishment just crushed what she had built.
China, Not a safe place for animals
China has never passed a single animal protection law, the lack of which has catered animal cruelty. This also fostered animal abuse since it’s not fully illegal.
With this clear representation of injustice, authorities must take action instead of being silenced.
