In a desperate attempt to control his high sex drive, a man in his mid-40s in central China sought the help of a fertility doctor to have his testicles removed.
As expected, the unidentified man’s strange request was not granted by Dr Wu Yin’e of Changsha Sunshine Hospital.
Based on a report by Xiaoxiang Morning Post, the man had previously attended the fertility doctor’s online courses and decided to get his help in solving his problem. According to Dr. Wu, he was having a class with a few female patients at the time the man came so he decided to have hims transferred to Dr Wang Xiang at the Andrology department.
“He just came in and told me he has a very strong sex drive and he wanted to remove his testicles,” Dr. Wu recounted.
After the assessing the man, Dr. Wang found that the man seems to be hyperactive. She also revealed that the results of the man’s B-scan did not show any signs of abnormality.
Even after explaining that orchidectomy surgery, a procedure that will remove testicles, is only carried out on prostate cancer patients, the man insisted to undergo such operation.
“This could just be some psychological problem and you can control it, why do you want to cut them off?” Dr Wang asked the man.
The man reasoned out: “I am having too much sex drive and I cannot control it. I feel aroused every day.”
Eventually, Dr. Wang sought the help of the police for assistance prompting the man to leave.
Orchidectomy is a surgical procedure wherein one or both testicles are removed.
