May the odds be ever in their favor.
Real-life Hunger Games is set to happen in Russia!
Game 2: Winter
This deadly TV Show is set to air in Russia this July, according to Siberian Times. The show includes a group of people around the globe that has agreed to take part in a true-to-life “Hunger Games”. This controversial contest legalizes fighting, rape, and even murder. Insane!
Siberian Island in the Ob River was the chosen battlefield for the 30 participants who will literally kill to win. These contestants have all signed a release of liability for injury, as well as death waivers.
Do Everything For Survival
“Everything is allowed. Fighting, alcohol, murder, rape, smoking, anything,” the rule said.
This rule was removed because of the outrage that sparked on social media. The show will last until April 2018, and to survive and be alive is the ultimate objective of the show.
Yevgeny Pyatkovsky, the show’s organizer, however, said that the producers would not intervene if something gruesome happens when the cameras are rolling.
The contestants consist of 15 men and 15 women. They will only be armed with knives as they face freezing temperatures, bears and other dangers that await them in the forest.
For the food, players have to store their own food in order to survive until the end of winter. When the stored food has been all eaten up, they will start to ice-fish through the holes cut in local lakes and ponds.
Aligned to the famous book and movie franchise, “Hunger Games”, players will be filmed by cameras that are set up remotely across the island.
Upon the arrival of the brave contestants, they will be given a task to build a house or shelter and be provided with winter clothes. Tools and fishing gears are provided also.
Cringy Part
One of their tasks is to track down a group of “criminals” who will be released from a nearby jail. These criminals could help contestants, but could also kill them.
There is nothing like this show in the whole world. No one has done it as a real thing where people will actually have to use every skill they ever gained, social, physical, psychological, to survive.” Pyatkovsky said.
This project had been in the works for some quite time now, and now it is finally coming to life.
