Last March 6, 2017, a Facebook user named Richelle Yambao Cudiamat posted her terrible experience with another user (Samonte Nhics Andrea) who offered her a job as PR for a family within three hours only.
According to her, the family is in the area for a vacation and was currently staying in a casino. Richelle was told that the family is willing to pay an amount of P 7,000 with an additional allowance of P 500 plus her food.
She agreed and grabbed the offer because she needs to work for the sake of her child.
However, when the rules were said to her, Cudiamat already had a hint of doubt with it. Apparently, the people whom she was transacting with, wants to know unit of her mobile phone because rules are rules.
Also, they wanted her to surrender her personal belongings for security purposes. When the day had finally come, 5th day of March, she went to a mall to meet up with her handler.
Cudiamat met with her handler, who gave her a short briefing about what she was supposed to her. Right after that, she was asked to surrender her stuff and said that it will be returned to her after her duty. She was even asked to remove her phone’s password, which she had agreed to do so.
Why did she agree? She didn’t also know the reason.
Shortly, she was instructed to go to the casino alone. Though she was hesitating, she did what she was told to. However, when she had arrived at the place, she was taken aback when she had realized that the place was a motel and not a casino. She tried to look for Nicole, who was supposed to meet her, but no one showed up so she went back to the mall to see if her handler was still there.
It was that moment when she realized what had happened to her. She was scammed and fallen as a victim by these crooks. Cudiamat, who was trying to find a decent job, was taken advantage of by people who do not even know how hard it is to find a job.
Cudiamat posted the Facebook profile of one of the scammers, including their conversation for other persons’ awareness.
Thousands of Facebook users were truly sorry for what she had gone through and hoped that she finds a real job soon.
Cudiamat didn’t want the same thing to happen to other people especially like her who are trying their best to get a earn a living. She also hopes that justice would be served to those who fooled her.
