Social media had truly taken over the lives of many people around the globe. Some uses this networking platform to show the public their uniqueness, but there are also some who takes advantage of the internet to recreate their personality and pretend to be someone they’re not.
Generally, there’s nothing wrong with asking someone to like a profile picture if they intend to gain more likes to their pictures. But what’s unacceptable is to insult and make fun of others just because they didn’t do what they are being asked to.
Just recently, a certain Facebook user sent a friend request to Mio Mio.
At first, the woman began their conversation with a simple greeting, which later on came to the point where she is asking Mio to like her profile picture. She politely said sure but never really got the chance to do so which was surprisingly being monitored by the woman, who asked why she hasn’t hit the like button yet.
Mio visited the woman’s profile when the woman said she couldn’t understand what Mio replied in Tagalog on their chat box and realized that according to her profile, the woman was from Antipolo, Rizal.
She then said that it was before she got in the US, which Mio doubted because of the woman’s erroneous grammar.
When Mio decided to play along with this woman’s stunts after forcing her to like her picture, she started to send hateful messages to Mio. However, Mio couldn’t get angry with the woman as she was extremely hilarious.
At the end of the day, people shouldn’t be arrogant just because they have stayed or lived on a foreign land for the reason that it doesn’t make them a better person than everybody else.
What do you think about the woman’s actions?
