1. Consuming multivitamins

Do you take multivitamins daily?Surprisingly, there’s no need for your pill-popping habit. A decades’ worth of studies have revealed that they’re practically useless as vitamins like A, C, and E can be obtained from the food that we eat.

2. Applying anti-bacterial hand gel.

If you regularly wash your hands throughout the day, there’s no need for you to apply that hand sanitizer that claims to kill germs. Apparently, hand sanitizers aren’t capable of killing all germs that plain old soap and water can.

3. Ditching monosodium glutamate

Although MSG is often linked to a number of symptoms like nausea and headaches, eating just the right amount of it is actually harmless. These symptoms can only occur when you consume 3g of MSG in its purest form.

4. Eating organic products

Believe it or not, consuming ordinary fruits and vegetables is no different from organic food products, which have been allegedly produced without the use of chemicals. It’s just another marketing ploy that gained massive following in recent years.

5. Going on a detox diet

With the promise to eliminate toxins in your body, detox diets have gained popularity in recent years. However, experts believe that there’s no need for smoothies or cocktails as our livers and kidneys are actually capable of cleansing our body.

6. Avoiding microwaves

While the use of microwaves destroys nutritious substances in our food, the same thing occurs when you reheat your food using stove or oven. Interestingly, reheating food in a microwave can better preserve some substances such as vitamin C.

7. Sticking only to low-fat products

Many prefer consuming only low-fat products with the hope of cutting out calories. In many cases, the reduction of fat in many food products is actually compensated by adding more sugar to it, which can be dangerous to your health.
