Wedding is an once-in-a-lifetime event in a couple’s life. Therefore, most couples make sure that they make their dream wedding come true.
One of those pairs is Wayne and Amanda, a courageous couple from Taiwan.
They asked a photographer named Keow Wee Loong to take the most risky wedding photos in his entire career. Loong agreed to grant the couple’s wish to have their photos taken in two different countries: Malaysia and Indonesia. Not to mention that the places where the shoot will happen are both mountains.
The first destination was Mount Rinjani – a 3,726m active volcano in Indonesia, and Mount Kinabalu—a 4,095m peak in Malaysia.
“We did a back to back climb in these two countries which was non-stop carrying up all our gear,” Loong said. “We then had to prepare for the right moment when the fog had gone to capture the amazing view which unfortunately meant waiting in freezing cold temperature.”
Aside from having to climb tirelessly, the couple also endured carrying the equipment and the freezing temperature while waiting for the perfect timing to take the photos. Fortunately, they were able to make their dream wedding photos happen.
Loong added: “Nobody had done a wedding shoot this extreme on top of a mountain summit after a three day, two night climb only to then wear a wedding dress to capture such a beautiful photo. There was nothing casual about this and I loved the risk factor.”
The couple is truly brave to have risked their lives in exchange for the perfect wedding photos that only a few could do.
How about you? Where would you like to shoot your dream wedding photos?
