- Flowerhorn fish is a kind of fish that people cares for as a pet.
- However, a Facebook user named Saya Cakap cooked the Flowerhorn which made netizens fuming mad.
Pets are usually cared for by families in a lot of homes around the world.
People treat animals like family which helps them ease their loneliness or boredom. Most of them adopt dogs, cats, hamsters and even fishes. Even though animals don’t speak, people are contented by having them around and keeping them company.
However, not all people look at animals the way pet owners do. Some of them perceive animals simply as food.
To prove the aforesaid statement, here’s a proof.
A netizen named Saya Cakap just cooked a Flowerhorn fish in his home.
He fried the fish and said that it tastes as good as tilapia.

1) Yes its tasty..sweet and juicy..served hot right away from the pan, super delicious fried fish.
2) What do u mean cannot be eat? Fish is kind of food, that vivid and beautiful look doesnt mean you cant touch it.

Furthermore, we reached out to Cakap to get more information on his story. According to him, Flowerhorn is not really cooked in his place. When we asked him why he had done it to the fish, he admits that he just wanted to and that he and his friend love doing ‘weird sh*t’.
He also agreed that doing it was a great experience because the fish tasted similar to a tilapia, only a bit juicy than the latter.
Cakap also shared that a lot of people sent him a message saying it was a wrong act, and he simply asked them why. He also said that he doesn’t understand why his post blew up.
In Asian countries, Flowerhorn fish is cared for by humans as a pet in their homes. It is also believed to bring good luck according to the Chinese practices.
Here’s what Cakap has to say to everyone: “I want to apologize to all these netizens especially those who really matter to this creature.”
Meanwhile, the netizens who had seen his post couldn’t believe that he had done such thing. Also, some of them expressed disgust saying they couldn’t do it if they were in his shoes.
At the end of the day, fish is indeed one of the foods that humans need. However, not all fish should be eaten due to hunger as there are only specific fish that are considered edible.
