The remains of the Pompey Masturbator resurface online. He was once called the guy who died doing what he loved. Found in Mount Vesuvius, Italy, the unknown man’s remains lie. After getting spewed by a deadly cloud of tephra and gases to a height of 33 kilometers (21 mi), the man was eaten alive.
The volcano also ejected molten rock, pulverized pumice, and hot ash at the rate of 1.5 million tons per second, ultimately releasing a hundred thousand times the thermal energy of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki bombings.
According to a report, the total inhabitants of the two cities were 16,000-20,000.
However, the casualty of the bombing has not been finalized, up until now. Only 1,500 bodies were recorded and the overall death toll is still unknown.
