- Burger joint promo gone wrong
- Zark’s Burgers 8-peso burger promo cause chaos in several malls
We have seen it in the movies, we might have seen it in a football game. But today, we are going to see it happen in a local burger joint.
Stampede?
Recently, Zark’s Burgers, a famous burger chain in the Philippines, released a promo in accordance to their eight-year celebration. An 8-peso rip-off for a burger that normally costs 145 pesos. The catch? Only first 80 customers would get the chance to avail the promo.
And the result?
Thousands of hungry customers showed up at several Zark’s Burgers branches hoping to be one of the first 80 customers.
The scenario was captured by some netizens that completely alarmed everyone on social media. It was described as a scene of complete chaos where people shoved and pushed one another just to get ahead.
Everything for an eight-peso burger. One can only ask what burger was it to cause a scary commotion. Here’s a set of videos proving how eager these customers are to grab promo. If this did not bother you, I don’t know what will.

Tension Rises
Meanwhile, in Trinoma Mall branch, the management was forced to close the store due to the craze people have caused. But one customer was not pleased and asked to still take their orders. The whole scene was captured on camera courtesy of Mark Aaron G.
Everything that happened only reflects as to what are willing to do just for a sale promo. Zark’s Burger hasn’t released a statement yet about the issue, however, they expressed sincere gratitude for consumers’ ‘mammoth’ support.
