They both looked stunning in the first official photos emerged from the private wedding. The couple, best known for their portrayal as lovers in the hit Korean drama, “Descendants of the Sun,” tenderly have their arms locked around each other just a few moments after they exchanged vows.
The photos were shared by their talent agencies who appreciate the great attention and love for their wedding. The ceremony was quietly completed in a private manner and they were congratulated by many. They also asked for understanding on the inability of filmin since there were limitations in their location. Hye-Kyo held a bouquet of Lily of the Valley, the same flowers Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton chose for her wedding. The flowers hold a variety of meanings, but when it’s held during a wedding, it means “certain happiness.”
Hye Kyo’s bouquet was rumored to be expensive because it only blossoms in Spring and is not grown in Korea. Her good friend, a non-celebrity artist, caught the special bouquet during the toss. Hye-Kyo wore a simple low-cut gown and a short veil, while Joong-Ki looked sharp, as expected, in his tuxedo that was matched with a white shirt and polka-dotted bow tie.
Their talent agencies also featured a couple of black and white photos which saw the couple in different outfits. Hye-Kyo and Joong-Ki first announced their engagement in July. Lee Kwang Soo didn’t fail in continuing his bromance with his best friend during the wedding where he read a letter aloud which began with, “To Joong Ki who I love and my brother’s wife who I love, Hye Kyo noona…” and ended with “Hye Kyo noona, my sister-in-law, please take care of my friend Joong Ki.“
Guests claimed that Joong-Ki and Hye-Kyo both cried during their wedding ceremony. As soon as the wedding was over, the couple jetted off to their honeymoon in Europe. As planned, they kept everything private and did not hold a press conference even with the huge amount of media curiosity. After their honeymoon, they will be moving into their home in Itaewon.
