- Drector Erik Matti and former Ex Battalion member John Roa lost valuable possessions over the weekend.
- Roa lost his wallet in the Ynares Sports Arena, while Matti lost his phone in New York.
Two showbiz personalities became victims of theft over the weekend: Rapper and former Ex Battalion member John Roa, and award-winning director Erik Matti.
Roa lost his wallet on July 14, during the Kami and ExB concert of his former group at the Ynares Sports Arena,,Pasig City. He was a special guest and he reported that he left his bag backstage when it was his turn to perform onstage.
After his performance, he discovered that he could no longer locate his wallet. It has all his cash and ATM cards. As there are no CCTV cameras at the backstage of the sports arena, they cannot pinpoint who the thief was.
Roa revealed that in order to get home, he had to borrow money from one of the members of ExBattalion.
On the other hand, Erik Matti’s cellphone disappeared after he attended the New York Asian Festival with Anne Curtis on July 15. His work, BuyBust, was the closing film.
Instead of being upset over his lost phone, Matti was happy and proud with all the compliments and praises they received for his film.
When he was asked about his lost phone, he just said: “At least our premier went well and CEB (Cinema Evaluation Board) rated us an A, too.”
