- Robin Padilla encourages Filipinos to accept medical marijuana as a treatment for cancer
- Medical cannabis is currently used in Germany, Luxembourg, Canada, Australia, and Czech Republic
Robin Padilla hopes that the Philippines will accept marijuana as a way to cure terminal cancer.
In his recent post on Instagram, he stated that there are so many issues that the Filipinos are giving their attention to, like politics and basketball, which have no direct connection to them but when it comes to terminal cancer, they don’t really care.
Wala talaga silang ingay o pakialam.
All of the charities and individuals that he helped fight cancer, the number expense of the families’ is for chemotherapy that will hopefully kill the cancer cells and save their loved one’s life.
He claimed that throughout his 49 years of life, he only knows of one cancer survivor, namely his cousin Maritoni Fernandez. He stated that medical marijuana gives people the opportunity to undergo “natural healing,” as has been adopted in some “firstworld (sic) countries.”
These countries include Germany, Luxembourg, Canada, Australia, and Czech Republic, who have allowed the use of medical cannabis.
Padilla then said that with the use of medical marijuana, the Filipinos would have more access to the treatment for cancer and other illnesses.
Radiation ok kayo?
Last September 2017, a bill was endorsed by the Congress’ health committee which would legalize medical marijuana for chronic debilitating conditions.
British company GW Pharmaceuticals stated that the use of certain cannabinoids can cure illnesses such as prostate cancer, breast cancer, and colon cancer.
“Cannabis cures cancer. Big Pharma has the patent to prove it,”
The company has then developed Savitex which is a mouth spray with cannabinoids to treat patients suffering from multiple sclerosis.
In December 2017, the World Health Organization stated that medical marijuana can be used without the addiction.
