- Kris Aquino shared why she chose to ignore people who downplayed her role in Hollywood movie Crazy Rich Asians.
- Australian actor Chris Pang and author of the novel, Kevin Kwan, both expressed their admiration toward the actress and the role she portrayed in the film.
Kris Aquino has been the talk of the town ever since she became a part of the movie adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians, a novel by bestselling author Kevin Kwan.
In a previous interview, Actor Chris Pang, who played as Colin Khoo in the movie, made a remark about the actress when asked about his first impression.
The Australian actor said that, since he didn’t know who she was, he was confused at first. His view then changed after he got to know her better and learned that she’s the real “crazy rich Asian”.
“Obviously, I know who she is now. She’s the real crazy rich Asian. All of us were acting and trying to dig deep into this life that we didn’t know, but she was just playing herself.”
Pang wasn’t the only one that uttered nice words to Aquino. The actress leater uploaded a video of Kwan saying that she is one of the highlights of the movie.
“She’s definitely in the movie. She’s a highlight of the movie, for me, she’s a highlight of the movie.”

Along with Aquino’s gratitude toward the author”s kind words, she added how she chose to ignore those who belittle her Crazy Rich Asians achievement. She said that she won’t argue with those wanting to downplay her role as she believes in the saying “Work hard in silence, let success make the noise”
