Vhong Navarro recently won the case against Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, and Jed Fernandez.
At the media conference of his new film Unl-Life, the Kapamilya star shared his feelings after winning the said lawsuit. “Mag-lilimang taon na rin. Kumbaga at least nagkaroon tayo ng hinga.
“Nakita ng judge kung ano talaga yung (totoo).”
On July 27, at the Taguig City Metropolitan Trial Court, the verdict has been released regarding the incident that happened in 2014. Cornejo, Lee, and Fernandez are convicted for grave coercion.
When asked if he’s willing to forgive, Navarro answered that he’s willing to do so if they are sincere in their apology.
“Sabi ko nga uli, ako naman, willing magpatawad kung ang tao pinagsisihan kung ano ginawa nila. Kasi mahirap magpatawad kung ang tao, may galit pa rin sila. ‘Di pa rin sila humihingi ng tawad.”
He also said that he’s avoiding to comment as much as possible because whenever he gets to encounter about it, all the memories come back.
“Hangga’t maaari ayoko nang pag-usapan. Kasi bumabalik ulit e, kumbaga nakakapag-move on na tayo kahit papano pero ‘pag nababalik ulit ‘dun sa mga balita, natitigil ako at sumasariwa sa akin mga nangyari,”
The It’s Showtime host shared the struggles that he went through, including the death of his father.
“Nung pinagdaanan ko ‘nung 2017, napakabigat. Marami akong pagsubok na pinagdaanan pa. At ‘yung pagpasok ng January, heto ‘yung nawala ang aking ama na napakalapit sa akin. Sabi ko, ‘Lord, ang hirap kwestyunin, akala ko tapos na, akala ko okay na,’”
Despite the struggles, Vhong chose to focus on the blessings that came ihis way.
“After ng paghihirap ng daddy ko, at kinuha na sa akin, heto naman ‘yung mga blessings. Sinasabi ko nga, yung faith natin, wag mawawala.
“Nagiging totoo ako kasi yung mga dasal ko nangyari lahat, binigay niya sakin lahat,”
Navarro’s movie Unli Life is one of the movies in the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018.
