There had been numerous baby delivery stories online. Mothers giving birth in the airplane, train, bus, and car. This one particular mom’s story is intense and amusing at the same time. Imagine giving birth in the car while stuck in EDSA traffic.
In her viral Facebook post, Cheoui de Leon narrated her experience of giving birth inside their Toyota Vios.
On September 1, Cheoui and her partner had to rush to the hospital from their baby shower because she started feeling severe contractions. Unfortunately, they encountered heavy traffic in EDSA.
“After a u-turn in EDSA going to Kamuning, I started to feel that the baby is already crowning! I tried to stay composed by breathing deeply but hell, it hurts so much I started to shout. My eyes went wide as I felt that she’s really ready to come out and I was shouting “Luis, lalabas na siya!! Di ko na kaya talaga!” she said in her Facebook post.
She continuously felt the baby slowly coming out. Her partner, Luis, managed to catch the head of the baby and hold it while rushing to the nearest hospital.
They managed to reach the ramp of the hospital before she did her last cry which made her completely push her daughter out. “Funny moment is when the guy who assist patients in the E.R. was stunned when Luis told him, “Kuya! Pakitawag yung nurse! Hawak na ng asawa ko yung anak namin!””
Place of birth.
The baby, who is named Sabrina, will forever remember her place of birth as her parents’ car. The amusing fact is made immortal in Sabrina’s birth certificate.
Instead of including just the address of the hospital, “Toyota Vios” was specified as she came out of her mother’s womb inside the sedan. She was born as her father drove up the ramp of Jesus C Delgado Memorial Hospital.
