- Lani Misalucha revealed that she has many plans now that she has signed up with Star Music.
- The Asia’s Nightingale will celebrate her 50th birthday with the Kapamilya network.
Just under a month after Janno Gibbs has signed a contract with Star Music, Lani Misalucha went back to ABS-CBN with a recording contract under its musical arm.
Lani has revealed that her new music would be different from those she has previously released with the company. The Asia’s Nightingale added that the plan is to bring her forthcoming all original global pop sounding album to an international and younger audience.
“Kung naaalala niyo ‘yung last album ko, The Nightingale Returns, collection po ‘yun ng mga best loved OPM classics, ano? This time naman, gagawin naman po namin lahat ng songs in English. Kasi lahat po ‘yung last ko ay puro in Tagalog. So this time naman, all in English. Pero siyempre po ang gagawa rin po ang ating mga local songwriters, composers. This time lang po meron kaming bagong i-ooffer dahil mas bago, mas current, mas young.”
On the other hand, Star Music Executive Jonathan Manalo said that this is not the only thing that supporters should look forward to. He revealed that as she is set to mark her 50th birthday celebration, she is set to release singles, an album, and will stage a major solo concert.
“Siyempre magsisimula ‘yung promotions kung saan siya nakabase – sa Las Vegas. Then sa LA kung ano ang pwedeng maging partner namin dun. Actually, marami naman kaming kinakausap na partners lalo na sa music. Dahil lumiliit nang lumiliit ang mundo natin, talagang pa-global ng pa-global na rin talaga ‘yung reach nang Filipino artists. And siyempre ‘yung isang pioneers natin na talagang naging international ay ating Nightingale. Why not i-maximize pa natin ‘yung pwede niyang gawin sa international stage? ‘Yung music video dun namin isho-shoot, isasama namin sa set list sa Vegas show niya ‘yung mga original songs niyang gagawin.”
Lani has also expressed her excitement about working with other OPM icons such as Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, and Jaya.
