Regine Velasquez says goodbye to GMA Network, “Salamat sa pag-aalaga n’yo sa akin”

• Regine Velasquez talks to fans about her recent career decision.
• She also said a short message to GMA Network.

On the night after her busy day last October 17, Regine Velasquez went live on Instagram to talk to her supporters.

She said that she wanted to take videos of the happenings earlier that day, but there was a lot of people around her and it slipped off her mind.

“Thank you very much again for your support, sa lahat ng pagmamahal. Nagpapasalamat pala ako sa mga RVF na hindi ko na nakita after. Pasensya na kayo, guys. Mag-picture nalang tayo some other time. Magkikita pa naman tayo.

“I’m so overwhelmed, but I’m so happy. Parang medyo matagal-tagal na rin akong hindi na-excite ng ganito. Maraming maraming salamat.”

Regine then proceeded to thank her home network for 20 years, GMA.

“Nagtha-thank you ako ulit sa GMA. Maraming salamat sa 20 years na pag-aalaga ninyo sa akin. Mahal na mahal ko parin kayo. Mga kaibigan ko na nandyan, kaibigan ko pa rin kayo, so hindi naman magbabago yun. Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng boss ko. Sa GMA, thank you for supporting me.”

The Asia’s Songbird explained the reason behind her tears that kept on spilling throughout the day.

“Maraming maraming salamat sa napaka-init na pag-welcome niyo sa akin. Natutuwa ako. Iyak ako ng iyak. Paloka-loka na talaga yung peg ko kanina. Nahihiya na nga ako eh. Tinutukso na nga ako ni Cacai [Velasquez]. Pasensya na, pero I was so overwhelmed. I’m so so so so excited.”

Despite her excitement, she also admitted that she feels nervous with this new career move.

“I’m nervous. I’m a little scared but I’m so happy.”
