A 40-year-old man from Dominican Republic was rushed to the hospital and forced to undergo emergency surgery after a can of Glade air freshener got stuck in his rectum.
His wife has informed the medical staff that she was the one that inserted the can as he requested for it to be done during an intercourse.
He was immediately brought to the Francisco Moscoso Puello Hospital in Santo Domingo for immediate surgery.
It lasted for about two hours and the man was in stable condition after the surgery.
Although shocking to most, the spokesperson said that the situation was not uncommon as people have been admitted with objects in their rectum like trapped wooden and plastic objects, as well as vegetables.
They added that such experiments are unsafe and can cause hemorrhaging, intestinal damages, or other injuries.
