“Kunyari trip ka nya….” Netizen warns of ‘serial scammer’

  • A Twitter user exposes ‘serial scammer’ who asks for cash in exchange of a casual hookup
  • Netizens came out with their own ‘scammed experiences,’ while others disclosed they met the same fraud
  • Jacob wants this post to serve as warning not to trust strangers immediately

A netizen posted on his Twitter account this Tuesday exposing a fraud who would ask for money in exchange for casual hookups.

Alter community.  Please help me spread this photo. This guy is a fraud.  Gumagala yan sa Shang, Boni, and Crossing Mandaluyong.  Kunyari trip ka nya, pag dinala mo sa place mo, hihingan ka ng pera at tatakutin ka.  Nagwowork daw sya sa @figarocoffeeHQ based din sa ID nya,” wrote Twitter user ‘Jacob.’

An “alter” is a pseudonym or a 2nd account of a social media user utilized to express oneself in a more discreet way without risking one’s true identity—or in this case, gender and sexuality.

Jacob recounted the details of how they met and how the guy ended up asking him money. And when he refused to do so, the scammer resorted to threatening to kill him.

Through Jacob’s post, others shared having similar experiences while some pointed out encountering the same guy and undergoing the horrifying ordeal that Jacob went through.

At the end, the original poster wanted his Twitter thread to serve as warning to others to stay away from the guy and from trusting others straightaway.

Some ‘alter’ users offered their sympathies and asked others to be careful.
