A mother is the reason why we are born in this world. She works hard just to take care of her kids and husband. A mother always puts the happiness of the family first, selflessly thinking about her.
But a mother in China is so blessed to have a very loving and thoughtful son, who thought of something that could make her mother happy.
A kid, about 10 years old, invited her mother to a jewelry store as they were walking in the downtown of Hubei, China. When they were inside the jewelry store, the boy asked her mother to try some diamond rings that she liked and the staff accommodate them. Her mother followed the request of her son to try some pairs of diamond ring as she was thinking that he was only joking.
The staff of the jewelry shop were so amused by the sweet moment that they had one of the staff members take a video of them.
But what his mother and the jewelry store staff didn’t know is that the boy was planning to give her mother a big surprise – a real diamond ring! The whole thing was part of the boy’s plan: to buy a real diamond ring for her mother.
The love for his mother had pushed him to save money to buy her a ring for the reason that he doesn’t want her mother to feel “left out” seeing other kid’s parents wearing one.
With determination and hope, he spent months saving money to get her mother a real diamond ring as a sign of his gratitude and love for her.
And the boy was incredibly amazing for in th few months that passed, he was able to save 8,800 yuan($1,300) from the gifts he received for his birthday and other special occasions.
Without her knowledge, the mother was able to pick, eventually, a ring of her choice that cost 8,100 yuan ($1,200). The boy was so happy because he could afford to buy it for her. But then, her mother couldn’t accept such a gift. Though she was so happy that her son wanted to buy it to make her feel happy, she didn’t want her son to spend his money on her, especially on a piece of jewelry and so she told him that she could not accept the gift. The boy felt sad and cried for not accepting his gift.
Finding a reason to leave the store without purchasing any ring, the mother immediately chose a very expensive ring worth 50,700 yuan ($7,560) and told him this was the one she really wanted.
“Mum likes this one. You can save more money and buy this one for me later,” the mother told the kid.
They both hugged each other as the boy agreed to leave the store and took his last look at the diamond ring.
Even without the ring, the mother received a much greater gift than any material thing in the world which we call love. By simply knowing that her son sacrificed to save money to get her a real diamond ring and make her feel happy, it was more than enough for all her efforts she gave in taking care of the family.
