A photo of a senior citizen working as a service crew in a local fastfood chain earned appreciation on social media.
In a now-viral Facebook post by Gremma Cuello Avellano, an elderly man can be seen doing the usual task of a server. He was later identified as Tatay Armando, who is currently a service crew member of Mang Inasal in SM Cavite.
Avellano also praised the owner of the said branch for giving “equal job opportunities” to all ages, who are still willing to work. She also used hashtags to express her message of, “Walang age limit, walang educational background.”
“Isang ehemplo na hangga’t kaya magtrabaho, kikilos at kikilos dapat tayo. Para hindi tayo pabigat sa gobyerno,” said the original poster.
Netizens lauded Tatay Armando for his hardwork. Most of them commended the senior service crew for keeping himself in full swing to make ends meet for his family.
There are those who also celebrated Mang Inasal for giving Tatay Armando a chance to earn money and make a decent living. Philipp Catabay commented on the post, “Mas madami pa blessings matatangap ng Mang Inasal pag ganito gagawin nila tuloy tuloy.”
