In an interview via twitter, Drei shared his being a student-leader and as a drag queen at the same time.
It was kind of difficult for him to manage both aspects because it required him a lot of sacrifices. With time management he was able to manage both.
“Kelangan talaga ng matinding time management kasi both aspects of my life are demanding. Minsan habang nagmamakeup ako, gumagawa ako ng report or ng plans for school. Minsan nasasacrifice talaga yung ibang aspects sa life ko.”
For him, being a student leader and a drag queen, it both takes lot of sleepless nights and sleepy morning classes. He had to drink a lot of caffeine just to stay awake; especially when he has organizational meetings for FEU English Language Circle.
When night comes, Drei transforms into a drag queen. This is his passion.

His passion as a drag queen started when he saw RuPaul’s Drag Race 2012. It has inspired him by looking through those queens in their outfits. It is also his dream of having such money and confidence to join their league.
Having such passion, he also get discriminated and experienced catcalling or even get harassed especially when he was out there in his full get-up.
“Sometimes, whenever I go out of my house in full getup, talagang na cacatcall ako or harassed my people na nakakakita.”
His mother is against his passion.
After getting criticisms, he sometimes get to confront the people. For him the LGBTQIA+ community is an easy target by those people who love to bully.
“Sometimes I just let it be because sometimes I confront people that attack me, baka ma-attack pa ko physically. Sa mundo ng LGBTQ+ community, sobrang dali naming target sa mga taong naghahanap ng mabubully or ng mahahate crime.”
Despite those struggles, he still received too much love and compliment from his own community who appreciated his passion as a drag queen. It felt rewarding.
At the end of the interview, he shared an inspiring message to all aspiring drag queens.
“Time management is important. Your passion should not interfere with what has been tasked to you in your everyday career. As a drag queen, you have to exude the confidence that you cannot show out of drag. As a student leader, you need to fulfil your duties consistently because that was tasked to you. Love what you do and it will love you back.”
