Feeling poor? Feeling like you won’t make it in life?
It is always inspiring to read about rags to riches stories. This pushes people to do better in their respective lives. George Anas Jr. and Charmilyn Anas, on their Facebook page called George and Chin inspirations, shared how they went from struggling to making it in life.
5 years ago, the couple shared similar obstacles in life. They were at their lowest as George was relying on pancit canton, and Chin on corned beef in a pack, which we all know are unhealthy.
“She used to depend on a corned beef value pack worth Php7.00 as an employee earning minimum wage while I depended on pancit canton as an unemployed to survive the week.”
The world was against them. George remembered people making fun of him for selling hotdogs, pizza rolls, and other foods just to make it through the day, but they did not mind those people because they knew that everything would pay off when everything is said and done.
“I sold siomai, pizza roll, hotdog bun, etc. for a living while finding a decent job. People were laughing but we didn’t really care.”
Working together towards a goal helped them achieve success in life. People think that the things that they have now were just handed to them, but the reality is the opposite, they had to work for everything they have now.
Now, they’re living the life that most people could only dream of. They have a beautiful daughter, and drive around town in a Mercedes.
Material things to them, are nothing at the end of the day. Chin does not own any designer bags and is not planning in owning one anytime soon. Their goal was to inspire couples to stay together even when things are not going the way they want them to.
According to George, one woman is enough to make things work out.
George, at 23 years old was in debt for 2 million pesos, was broke, and unemployed. Chin on the other hand was barely making ends meet by living off on a minimum wage. George loved his wife so much that he wouldn’t let anyone have the passenger seat in their car other than his wife. Destiny knew that these struggling souls were meant to be together.
Netizens were inspired by the post. Based on the comments, they are not the only ones that had to go through hell, as netizens were sharing the experiences they had during hard times.
