- A netizen questions Jimmy Bondoc for not reacting to Duterte harassing women openly
- The netizen wanted to point out that before he was appointed to a government position, Bondoc was one of the ABS-CBN artists who followed orders from the heads of the network
After Jimmy Bondoc posted on his Facebook account about his excitement for “biggest network” closing down, celebrities and the public alike have reacted to his rant.
Bondoc had been referring to ABS-CBN whose franchise license is still up for renewal and will expire in 2020. He claimed that there were instances of fraud, sexual harassment, and politicking during his time there as an artist.
One netizen took Bondoc to task for what he denied was schadenfreude.
Though she admits that there are a lot of times she was irritated with ABS-CBN network, she questioned Bondoc for not reacting to President Rodrigo Duterte harassing women openly.
Well, I know that ABS-CBN ang ibig niya sabihin sa "biggest network". There are a lot of times naman talaga na naiinis ako sa ABS pero hello Jimmy Bondoc! Duterte harrasses women openly pero did we ever hear from you? pic.twitter.com/IwTdCJnese

Duterte has made inappropriate comments about women on several occasions, including rape jokes. “As long as there are many beautiful women, there will be more rape cases,” Duterte said in reaction to Davao’s high number of rape cases.
The government is full of politicians w/ personal interest, where were u then Mr. Jimmy Bondoc? While the nation is being corrupted and Filipinos were used by this corrupt politicians/officials, u were plucking your guitar & singing mostly in ASAP w/c is in this biggest network!

Bondoc had mentioned that the success of the network was based on politics and sexual favors which made her ask why he kept silent when the government was being corrupt.
Nakahalik ka lang sa pwet ni Duterte si Jimmy Bondoc akala niya ang laki ng ambag niya sa bansa lol. Kung matagal na palang may mga ganyang ganap, bakit wala naman kami narinig sa'yo? Dahil ba nakinabang ka rin, as you stated? Haha… na shut down kasi ang career kaya siguro

In 2016, Bondoc was appointed by the president as the Assitant Vice President for Entertainment for PAGCOR, during which time his music career seemed to become stagnant.
Isa nalang! Ang yabang netong si Jimmy Bondoc! Ang plastik! Akala mo naman eh ngingiti-ngiti naman siyang parang tuta sa heads at sa mga tao ng ABS dati… kalokohan niya!

The netizen wanted to point out that before he was appointed to a government position, he was one of the ABS-CBN artists who followed orders from the heads of the network.
Bondoc’s rant has fired up the network’s supporters, Kapamilya celebrities and even the rival channel’s personalities who also posted their reactions on social media.
