- Traffic enforcers prey on motorists to give them money in exchange for their license
- Reyes stated that these enforcers are aware of CCTV cameras on the areas but they were able to find a way to extort money from these motorists
- There are still traffic enforcers who continue to extort money from motorists
Traffic enforcers are the ones who enforce traffic rules to catch traffic violators and issue tickets or penalty to drivers. But not all enforcers are honest while doing their job; some take advantage of the violators and ask money in exchange for penalties.
A viral CCTV video has been uploaded on Facebook by a netizen named Joaquin Cesar Reyes that captured some of Muntinlupa traffic enforcers preying on motorists to give money in exchange of their license.
On the CCTV video clip, after the enforcers talked to the motorists and asked for their license, the enforcer passed it to one of their companions who wears a face mask and invites the motorist to go with him in a distant area, where CCTV cameras cannot spot their transactions.
When they return, the motorists just leave the place and the enforcers do the same transactions with other motorists.
Reyes was furious at the MTMB enforcers as he stated in his caption that these enforcers are aware of CCTV cameras on the areas but they were able to find a way to extort money from these motorists.
“HULICAM: “Rider ka lang, MTMB traffic enforcer kami!” Panoorin ang pangongotong sa mga riders ng mga MTMB traffic enforcers! Tigas ng mga mukha alam na nga na may CCTV camera nakahanap pa rin ng paraan kung paano mangotong. Wow Magic! Yang ba ang tama??? Wala ng babaguhin sa Muntinlupa! Yahoo!!!”
Traffic enforcers face this kind of issue over the years and some of them were even removed from the service when they were being caught on the act. However, there are still traffic enforcers who continue to extort money from motorists.
