Meiji Cruz shared how her boss treated her like crap which made her quit her job.
Meiji was working as a model who promoted BMW cars. It was also her job to interact with possible customers.
“It was my second day working for a luxury car brand, BMW at Megamall Fashion Hall. As a model, I interact with people and greet them with a smile.”
She was doing the usual until the company president came up to her and started shouting.
“Spencer Yu approached me in a very rude and condescending manner. He said he’s not paying us just to stand, he wants us to talk to every single person who approaches the car.”
Cruz felt disrespected but kept her composure.
“I was bursting inside. He has no right to shout at us. I remained composed and said, ‘Noted, Sir.'”
Yu then got on the phone with one of Cruz’s agents and said more hurtful things.
“Then, he was talking to someone over the phone and I bet that was our agent. He asked me, ‘Anong pangalan mo? Yung isa?’ Again, in a shouting manner,
“‘YUNG MEIJI PUTANG INA…’ and the rest became blurry.”
Cruz thought about walking out but mustered enough courage to confront her boss. She asked Yu what his problem was only to get shouted at. Yu told her to go home repeatedly.
“He kept on shouting saying, ‘Umuwi ka na.'”
Cruz cried to her friend and agent as she tried to find comfort.
Yu then went to her and said he wanted to talk, but still in an aggressive tone while pointing his finger at her.
“I also pointed my finger at him. I said, ‘Okay talk to me, pero ‘wag mo akong duduruin.’
“My friend and I came back and talk to him. According to him, it was his right.”
Cruz urges people to stand up to bullies and to boycott the automobile brand.
Cruz added, “Being a President of a big automobile firm is not a license to look down, humiliate, and verbally assault people who are just doing their jobs. I speak up.
