A netizen named Miranda Banne of Gerona, Tarlac shared a photo on Facebook of their electric bill which reached almost 1 million pesos. Her post immediately went viral, garnering 3.2 thousand reactions and 2.7 thousand shares as of this writing.
She confirmed that there is an error made by the TARELCO (Tarlac Electric Cooperative) and they will conduct another reading for their new bill.
Her post received different reactions on social media with some sharing their same experiences.
“dapat bago nila ibigay yan maayos na.. para iwas perwisyo na din sa kumpanya before sana binigay ung reading chinech muna at sabihin na ng kamali or may error..”
“Ako rin po hanggang ngayon nagdurusa pa ring magbayad ng kuryente na di naman namin ginamit, walang adjustment, plan ko nalang para mabayaran ko, umikot ung kontador wala nman nakatira sa bahay namin.”
Some say that some were just guessing the reading because the electric meter is too high for them to check.
“Ung mga nag rereading kasi nanghuhula nalang di nila makita sa taas ba naman.”
And some wrote funny comments that she was paying the electric bill of the whole Tarlac.
“Buong barangay po ba yung nakakabit sainyo?”
“Ano yang bahay nyo … Disney Land 😂😂…grabe sila tarelco ha..aabangan ko yan kung magksalubong kami sa bangketa ….ahaha”
“Yung tipong bill ng buong barangay pinapabayaran sayo. 😅🤣😂”
