High school crush is now his fiance: His boyfriend asked permission to his family before asking to marry him

  • His partner asked permission from his family before he proposed
  • Kyle didn’t really expect that his partner would propose
  • His partner was his high school crush

A Twitter user named Kyle McRae shared a photo of his partner who made a surprise proposal.

In his caption, he said that before his partner Kevin Ogren made the proposal, he first met Kyle’s parents and Kyle’s sister to ask for their blessing.

“So.. he met with my Mom, Dad and my Sister to get their blessing before asking me to marry him… 😭”

“Never thought I needed that but the fact he did, means everything. Guaranteed my dad cried..haha.. he cried when I came out because he was so happy and proud of me as his son. ❤️”

Kyle didn’t really expect that his partner would propose, but expected his dad cried when he did so. He remembers that his dad also cried when he came out because he was so happy and proud of him.

He admitted that at the age of 18  he was still in the closet being sad, scared, and feeling so alone. But he also had a high school crush who inspired him.

Years later, his crush is now his fiancé.
