- Woman faints in a jeepney because of exhaustion.
- It was fortunate that a nurse was also inside the vehicle
- The netizen advised that people should not forget to take a rest every once in a while.
Everyone knows the importance of hard work and perseverance in their everyday lives. But as the saying goes – too much of anything is bad. This means that even if it will benefit your career or financial standing, sometimes you just need to stop and breathe once in a while.
This can be seen in the video Facebook user Jasmine Mamerga.
In the video, passengers of a jeepney can be seen crowding around a woman who seemed to have lost consciousness. They were trying to keep her from falling and some others were holding her hand, head bowed with silent prayers.
In the captions, Mamerga said that the lady fell asleep and the person beside her was kind enough to not wake her up. But after a few minutes, she suddenly fell from the chair and they tried waking her up but couldn’t.
“We thought na si ate girl nakatulog lang kaya hinayaan lang sya ng katabi nya na makatulog sa lap nya, but after a few minutes bigla syang nahulog sa inuupoan nya and we tried to wake her up pero hindi sya nagigising,” the netizen stated.
Mamerga added that they noticed that the lady was pale which prompted them to fan her, in hopes of improving her condition.
“We noticed na namumutla na siya kaya halos lahat na nasa jeep pinapaypayan sya,”
Luckily, there was a nurse present and she knew exactly what to do to the unconscious lady. The nurse then added that the passenger fainted because of exhaustion.
“The good thing [is] merong good samaritan na alam ano na ang nangyayari kay ate girl. At mabuti talaga na nurse siya at alam nya ang gagawin. As per ate nurse, sa sobrang pagod lang daw kaya nahimatay si ate at kung hindi daw naagapan baka namatay na [siya] (pero mabuti hindi),”
Mamerga then shared a piece of advice to everyone. She said that even though you’re busy, you should always take care of yourself as lack of sleep and rest can cause serious health problems.
“Just a piece of advice: Life is busy, but it’s important to take care of yourself. If you consistently feel worn [out] and lack [the] energy to get through your day, you may need to re-evaluate how you’re treating yourself. Lack of sleep and poor diet, are all harmful to your body and soul.
“Don’t abuse yourself.”
The woman regained consciousness after a while.
When Dailypedia asked Doctor John Nico Ronquillo about his advice to those who are abusing their bodies for the sake of good grades and nice careers, he said, “Lahat po ng bagay sa mundo dapat balanse. With equal effort, prayers, and rest. Mas magagawa natin Ang mga bagay ng maayos, ng hindi natin kailangan irisk ang health natin mentally and physically.”
