- A homeless man displayed a commendable act of honesty by returning a citizen’s wallet.
- The Facebook user said that even though the man clearly needed some extra cash, he still chose to return it.
- That’s not all. He also rejected the offer of the woman to give him food as a reward and just took a single cup of drink.
In a Facebook group called Marikina News, a member named Julie Ann Presnillo shared her experience of having a homeless man give back her wallet even though he doesn’t even have food to eat and a shelter to live in.
“Kanina, habang kumakain ako sa Marikina, ‘di ko napansin na nalaglag na pala ang wallet ko. Lahat pa naman ng IDs ko nandito sa wallet, saka po may perang laman. Sa sobrang dami ng dumaraan doon, mabuti na lang at siya ang nakakita.”
“Kinalabit niya ako, ‘yon pala ‘yong wallet ko nasa lapag na. Sobrang thankful ako sa kanya. Napakabuti mo. God bless you po. Sana magkita pa tayo soon. Mag-iingat ka palagi,” Julie Ann said on her post.
Netizens complimented the man saying that with his situation, it’s not easy to survive but he still chose not to accept the reward and settled with a free drink instead.
“Niyaya ko pa siyang kumain kaso ayaw niya. Hiningi lang niya ‘yong palamig tapos nagmamadali na siyang umalis. Sana magkita pa tayo, kuya,” Julie Ann added in a comment.
