Photos of Jesus Christ lookalike seen in Davao before earthquake go viral, netizens call for prayers

Dressed in flowing white cloth and carrying a clay pot, the white bearded man with long blonde hair was seen in one of the photos walking barefoot around Barangay Indangan in Davao City.

Photographs of a Caucasian man bearing uncanny resemblance to Jesus Christ went viral and left netizens in awe after these images were posted online.

Dressed in flowing white cloth and carrying a clay pot, the white-bearded man with long blonde hair was seen in one of the photos walking barefoot around Barangay Indangan in Davao City.

In another photo, the man resembling Jesus in some angles and physical features seemed to be asking for food at a bakery.

According to the netizen, who uploaded the photos on Facebook, the Jesus lookalike was seen in Davao City before the deadly 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit Mindanao on October 29.

Speculating that the man is Jesus who came down from heaven, the netizen asked the public to earnestly pray “to be saved” by God.

“Jesus Christ bumaba na nga ba sa lupa??? Nakuhanan ng litrato sa Davao before earthquake sa Mindanao,” the netizen wrote.

“Believe it or not kailangan na nating magdasal ng taimtim. Bumalik na tayo sa puso ni Hesucristo upang tayo ay maligtas. Pakitandaan po natin na walang impossible sa Diyos. Lahat kaya niyang gawin. Let us pray mga kapatid,” the netizen added.

Social media users have expressed their reactions to the photos.

The vast majority of the responses have been praying for God’s forgiveness.

“Lord God patawarin nyo po kmi sa aming mga pagkakasala. Naway iligtas nyo po kaming lahat sa anumang kalamidad. Ilayo nyo kmi sa anumang kapahamakan. Amen,” one wrote.

“Lord patawad po sa aming kasalanan ‘wag mo po kaming pababayaan. Salamat Lord. Amen,” another netizen said.

As of posting, the photos of Jesus’ “doppelganger,” which were uploaded last October 29, earned over 5,300 reactions, shared more than 5,500 times and garnered almost 2,200 comments.

Meanwhile, a netizen said the Jesus lookalike is an American who rushed out of a hotel after the deadly tremor struck.

Posting a photo of the Caucasian man on Facebook on October 30 — this time with two young people, the netizen said the only thing the foreigner has managed to grab when he rushed out of the hotel’s room was the white blanket, which he wrapped around himself.
