Emmanuel M. Jamis, an ice drop vendor from Puerto Princesa, is inspiring netizens after his rags-to-riches story started circulating on social media.
Emmanuel has been selling his homemade ice drops for over three decades already.
Luckily for Emmanuel, his ice drops are selling like crazy because he is located near an elementary school. His ice drops are usually bought by children and older people.
Thanks to his hard work and perseverance, he was able to buy a rental property which he called EMJ Apartment.
He also owns a store and a computer shop.
What is more inspiring is that he was able to buy his mother a brand new Hyundai.
He added that he always wanted to know what it feels like to own a vehicle of their own.
In a Facebook post, Emmanuel shared how selling ice drops for over 30 years is the reason he is in a comfortable financial position.
“Share ko lang ang istorya ng aking homemade icedrop na mahigit tatlong dekada nang mabili sa mga bata dito sa lugar ko. Maswerte ako dahil tapat ako ng elementary school, napakalaki ng naitulong nito sa ekonomiya ko.”
Even with his success, Emmanuel never forgot to thank God for guiding him.
“Nakapagawa ako ng mga paupahan, computer shop, at tindahan at ngayon awa ng Diyos ang matagal ko nang pangarap ang magkaroon ng sasakyan. Salamat po Panginoon ng madami,”
Emmanuel first shared his story to Peso Sense Saver Group.
People who used to buy from Emmanuel were really proud of him, and say that his ice drops were the best they’ve ever had.
