- A Facebook user narrated how she helped a Grab driver in her own little way.
- She decided to buy a meal for the Grab driver and was touched by his response.
Amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the need for help is increasing every single day, especially with frontliners and those who are in charge of delivering the basic needs of citizens.
One netizen shared her experience when she decided to buy her Grab driver food.
Cha Calubaquib said that on April 13, she decided to have food delivered during the enhanced community quarantine. And because she felt the need to help these people who are risking their lives and possibly exposing themselves to the virus, she ordered a portion for the driver as well.
“Naisip kong magpadeliver ng Baliwag para hanggang bukas ko ng ulam. I almost didnt order kasi nung una walang nagaaccept ng order ko. So tumigil ako. Pero, inisip ko, try ko ulit kung wala talaga hindi nako magpapadeliver. Eh may tumanggap :(( Si kuya Andrew,” she wrote in her post.
Cha said that she ordered four roasted chicken from Baliwag: one for her, two for the frontliners in the building, and one for Andrew, the Grab driver.

When the Grab driver arrived at her place, he immediately said thank you because the chicken will serve as his family’s meal for the day.

The driver later messaged her on Facebook, thanking her again and even sent her a selfie with his two children while eating the chicken.
“Single parent po kasi ako kaya malaking tulong po talaga,” Andrew wrote in his message.

Cha then thanked God for allowing her to be His instrument in helping others.
“Lord, salamat po. Salamat po for making me Your instrument today to help somebody in need. Thank You, Lord. Alam ko po, ikaw yan.”
