A prank video posted by vlogger Zeinab Harake is being criticized for its insensitivity.
In the prank video she recently uploaded on her Facebook page, Zeinab made video calls to her two siblings and parents to tell them that she’s positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) even when it’s not true.
Her joke didn’t go down well with her father and a lot of netizens.
Zeinab’s father said it’s not a funny joke, while many netizens asked her to delete the video for being insensitive to people who are now anxious because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Here’s what some netizens said:
“Posting prank video about being (COVID-19) positive is not good and will never be. You should be sensitive on how others might feel about it. Thousands of people are dying. Thousands of people are fighting for it and yet you made fun out of it.” – Belle Godoy

There are lots of people mourning for their families who departed caused by this virus pero ginawa mo lang katatawanan. Very wrong.
Lakas pa ng loob mong humingi ng like, share and subscription after ng walang kuwenta mong video.” – Jem Lopez
“Mag-isip ka ng content na matino. Pati sakit ginagawa ninyong biro, sumikat lang.” – Maureen Ann Nicole
After receiving numerous negative comments, the original prank video has been deleted.
Zeinab became famous online after her appearance in the Kapuso show “Wowowin.“
