- A reporter interviewing Sotto accidentally enabled her custom virtual background showing a naked man.
- The mayor got sidetracked but ignored the incident and continued on with his updates.
As the whole island of Luzon is under enhanced community quarantine, many of us opted to have a work from home set-up. This means that deliberations are usually done via group chats and meetings will be held using video calls.
This is also the reason why applications like Zoom are becoming popular. But as many are just at home, there are some instances that people accidentally do stuff that may shock their colleagues or embarrass themselves.
A perfect example of this is Zoom interview with Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto. They were talking about the updates regarding the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in the city.
“We see here in Pasig, it might be a little premature to lift the enhanced community quarantine. Parang sayang if we lift it now when there are still a high number of cases,” the mayor admitted.
He was in the middle of a sentence when the reporter accidentally activated a virtual background showing a naked man sitting at a desk.

In a message, the reporter admitted that it was an honest mistake on her part because the last time she opened her Zoom app was when she was video calling her friends.
They were fooling around and used funny background photos.
Mayor Vico Sotto on the next day shared his zoom conference with fellow politician Sen. Win Gatchalian and other policy experts. He chided on his tweet, “P.s. Thankfully, this Zoom Conference, walang participant na nag-background ng naka-BOLD.”

Discussion centered on ECQ exit strategy. Kailangan maayos ang plano- mula transportasyon hanggang testing.
