Online shoe seller gives deliveryman a new pair of kicks

A delivery man received a new pair of Nike shoes after his clients saw that his shoes were falling apart.

  • The owner of a shoe store said that they saw the state of the man’s shoes and wanted to reward him for his hard work.
  • The post went viral on Facebook, reaching more than 29,000 shares.

An online seller gave free shoes to a delivery rider whose own pair was so broken to the point that it was only being held together by tape wrapped around it.

Zhang Wang, an online shoe seller, told the story in her now-viral Facebook post. She said that the man goes to their house every day to pick up shoes that are to be delivered to their buyers. He’s so dedicated to his job, that even though his shoes are already broken, he still works hard.

Knina, nakita namin na nakascotchtape ung sapatos nya,” Wang said.

When her husband saw the delivery man’s shoes, he asked what happened and the man answered that it completely fell apart so he put scotch tape to stick it back to place.

Then the husband made the man sit while the couple thought about the kind of shoes to give him. Wang suggested the Nike Air Max 270.

After they asked him what his size was, gave a pair for him to try on, and it fit.

Wang then shared a lesson to everyone that saw the post.
