Gone too soon: Lloyd Cadena passes away at 26

2020 just will not let up. First, it was Emman Nimedez. Now, it’s Lloyd Cadena.

The usually happy and meme-y arrival of Ber months just took a turn for the worse as one of the country’s most popular content creators passed away.

Filipinos Learned of the death Lloyd Cadena with a simple message on his Facebook fan page.

Lloyd Cadena was more than just a face you saw on your social media feed. He was a student, a good brother to his siblings, and an activist.

He was also a book author, a radio disk jockey, a humanitarian, and a one-time member of a boy band. He was recently awarded the Social Good Award, given by the Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines to those who “use their influence in promoting social awareness and for evangelizing the Filipinos with advocacy that addresses national matters and social relevance.”

It’s an honor he shares with none other than Angel Locsin as the first recipients of the award.

He has also won the 2016 LionhearTV RAWR Award for Favorite Influencer, and has more than 8 million subscribers between his two YouTube channels Lloyd Cafe Cadena and Lloyd Cafe Cadena Vlogs.
