Lalafood rider gets scammed by another Lalafood rider for P1,600 worth of food from fast food resto

A Lalafood rider tried as much as he could to contain his rage after getting scammed by a customer—who turned out to be a fellow Lalafood rider.

Anything for a bundle of laughs or perhaps a quick buck? This might be one of those cases where it has gone too far.

A Lalafood rider by the name of Roi Aguirre is furious over what can only be described as a possible prank gone too far.

From his Facebook post, it’s clear how he was overcome by anger after a certain “Dan” scammed him of nearly P1,600 worth of food from a popular fast food restaurant. The post has since gone viral on the social media site, with over 10,600 reactions and at least 10,717 shares as of writing.

“Ang lakas naman ng trip mo, boss… Halos ibuhos namin buong lakas namin sa pagpadyak para makarating on time sa into,” said Aguirre. He also says he feels defeated after what happened, seeing as he exerted that much effort into making sure the order gets to “Dan” complete and on time.

He also included photos of fellow Lalafood riders scammed by the same person.

Based on his post, “Dan” lives in one of the units at Manila Residences Tower II in Malate, Manila. “Dan” never replied to any messages Aguirre sent through the Lalafood app.

He would later try and reach out to “Dan” directly. He went as far as asking him an alternative for a drink that wasn’t available.

Upon reaching the condominium tower, he got one last message from “Dan”, which led to his fury on social media. “Uwi mo na yan sabi Lalafood.”

Concerned netizens tried to help out the Lalafood rider. From calling and texting the number he shared to verify the existence of the scammer to reaching out to Lalafood, good Samaritans tried their hardest to help Aguirre get some form of compensation.

A recent post from Aguirre seems to have given us an answer of sorts to the identity of “Dan”. He appears to be a Lalafood rider as well—the same with Roi and the two other delivery riders he scammed.

Dailypedia.net has tried reaching out to Lalafood via email and a message on their official Facebook page, but they have not yet released a statement as of writing.

Their customer service team, however, said they will be looking into the matter.
